Help choosing a plan
Which data plan fits your trip?
- Fixed data: a set allowance for your trip. Check both the GB and the validity period.
- Unlimited: check the daily full-speed allowance and any reduced-speed limits on the plan.
- Maps and messaging usually use less data than video. Downloads, video calls and hotspot sharing can use much more.

13 plans are active for Serbia, 1 GB – 20 GB, valid for 3 days – 30 days. Prices start at €1.49. Validity begins when the eSIM first connects to a supported network, not when you buy it. Travelling through several countries? This destination is also covered by the Europe plan and the Balkans plan.
The transit corridor and the mountains beside it
Serbia carries the main overland corridor through the Balkans, from the northern border down to the exits for North Macedonia and Bulgaria. Along that strip, in the cities and on the motorway, coverage is steady and the service areas are well covered.
Step off the corridor towards the mountains of the south and west, or into the gorges along the Danube, and coverage turns patchy and disappears for stretches. If a ski resort or a village in the hills is on the plan, download maps and tickets while you still have a connection.
One stretch of the drive on different terms
Serbia is outside the EU, and that shows up in the middle of the journey: between the entry in the north and the exits in the south lies a long stretch that your tariff usually treats separately from the rest of the trip. Ask your own operator how data is counted here, because the hours you spend on that stretch are the hours with the map, the ticket and tonight’s address open on the screen.
The eSIM covers exactly that stretch, and the moment to sort it out is before you get near the border: switch it on and set it as the default line for data while the connection around you is still calm. The queue at the crossing, engine running and cars behind you, is not where you want to be opening settings.

Frequently asked questions
Does my phone need to support eSIM?
Yes. Your device must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. Check the exact model and sales region before purchase.
When should I install my eSIM for Serbia?
Read the plan instructions before departure. You can install it over Wi‑Fi, while the validity start depends on the plan conditions confirmed before payment.
Can I keep my number and WhatsApp?
On most phones you can keep your primary line enabled and use the eSIM for data. Exact settings depend on your device and primary carrier.
Is the signal the same everywhere in Serbia?
No. Coverage and speed depend on the local network, location, device and network load. Review the listed networks when they are available on the plan.
I am only passing through for the day. Is it worth it?
It depends on what your home tariff says about the country, so check it before you get on the road; this stretch is usually not included in what you already pay for. For a day of transit the smallest plan is enough, while a weekend is worth one step up.
Will the connection hold on the night bus heading south?
Not the whole way. It holds on the motorway and breaks in the mountain sections. Download what you plan to watch before you leave and keep your ticket on the screen rather than on a page that has to reload.
