Read the plan activation conditions before installation. If advance installation is allowed, download the profile over stable Wi-Fi before departure and follow the plan instructions on arrival.
Coverage and speed vary with your location and the local network. Save maps and your arrival address offline in case the connection is weak or unavailable.
Check the selected plan’s country list: Turkey coverage does not automatically include Northern Cyprus. For longer stays, check BTK’s current device-registration and permanent-roaming rules; a travel eSIM does not exempt your device from these limits.

Watch your main line bill
Turkey is NOT in the EU. If you leave data roaming on for your main line there, your carrier charges its own rates — and that is where the big post-holiday bills come from.
The rule is simple: switch data roaming off entirely on the main SIM and let the eSIM carry the internet. Your number stays active for SMS and calls if you need them.

Does my phone need to support eSIM?
Yes. Your device must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. Check the exact model and sales region before purchase.
When should I install my eSIM for Turkey?
Read the plan instructions before departure. You can install it over Wi‑Fi, while the validity start depends on the plan conditions confirmed before payment.
Can I keep my number and WhatsApp?
On most phones you can keep your primary line enabled and use the eSIM for data. Exact settings depend on your device and primary carrier.
Is the signal the same everywhere in Turkey?
No. Coverage and speed depend on the local network, location, device and network load. Review the listed networks when they are available on the plan.
Do I have to register my phone in Turkey?
Registration rules for a phone brought from abroad and permanent-roaming limits are different. For longer stays, check current BTK guidance and the plan conditions; do not assume a travel eSIM provides an exemption.
Does it work at Istanbul airport as soon as I land?
Connection depends on coverage, device settings and the local network. Select the eSIM for mobile data and enable Data Roaming only as instructed by the plan. If it does not connect, use Wi-Fi for help and do not delete the profile.
